AFAA Convention 2024 – SouthEastern Splendour

September 23 – September 27 2024

The Victorian Floral Art Association and the Floral Art Guild of ACT are delighted to invite you to the AFAA Convention 2024 – Southeastern Splendour – being co-hosted by both organisations at the Ainslie Football Club in Canberra.

Floriade will be in full swing during the Convention, so you will be able to immerse yourself in a world of flowers and floral art whilst you are visiting Canberra.

Australian Floral Art Assn. Manual

The Victorian Floral Art Assn. is pleased to announce the arrival of the NEW edition of the Australian Floral Art Association Inc. Manual, this is available for $25 each plus postage.

Wednesday 24th April – VFAA Workshop

On Wednesday 24th April the VFAA held two workshops.

In the morning Cheryl demonstrated three different designs to give the group ideas for their own arrangements using candles  – pictures are below of the group’s designs.

In the afternoon, Deb showed us how to make a Wedding Pocket Square Boutonnière which can be placed in a jacket pocket as an alternative to a buttonhole

The Victorian Floral Art Assn. is pleased to announce that our Annual Competition will be held again this year.

The title: Arabesque, and we look forward to the following clubs submitting their interpretation:

Box Hill, Echuca, Sale, Vermont, Warrnambool, Waverley.

We hope you will visit us, inside the main hall, and enjoy our exhibition.

WIRED FOOT STAND

On Thursday 28th February 2024, the VFAA had their first meeting of the year.

Noreen demonstrated how to make a WIRED FOOT STAND and then the members made their own and decorated them with, sticks, bark, a spathe, vines, and flowers.

In the afternoon Josie demonstrated various ways of wiring test tubes and how they can be adapted to use in various structures.
